Music Relief Foundation is a charity that has been serving grassroots communities for over ten years. Our services cater to young people and their families regarded as less privileged, but we see them as highly creative with untapped resources.
We deliver music lessons and provide holiday club provisions, skills and employability well-being training, youth leadership training in schools, and ongoing community engagements.
On Saturday 11th July 2020, Music Relief premiered a DIY 360 transformative wonderland experience that brought together the best of music, art, augmented, and virtual reality.* Featuring a unique rendition of Bill Withers - 'Lean On Me' and Ben E King - 'Stand By Me' *The event aims to promote positivity, community, and solidarity amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and celebrates the incredible talent and hard work of our young ambassadors, and motion art and music tutorial students, who studied for nine weeks over lockdown in preparation for this virtual event. A true showcase of young talent! Young people have created the entire experience from interactive visuals, art, and sound. Supported by multi-dimensional motion arts workshops, tinkering with accessible free creative tools to imagine & make an original DIY concert experience - made together with the PlayLa.bZ CIC crew. We also have a motivational talk from our patron - CeCe Sammy,-Lightfoot global leading vocalist and performance coach.
