Norwood JunkAction is a new eco-community art project that approach the issues of the litters in Norwood Junction by transforming it into Art work to be exhibited on the same streets from where it was picked.
This project works in collaboration with the litter picking friends of south Norwood – a group of volunteers already actively engaged in keeping the neighbourhood clean, as well anyone who wish to be involved in litter picking.
Participants will be provided with a month period free-studio space to bring their collected litter and turning it into artwork. This process will be facilitated by a series of workshops run by participant themselves as well as external visitors.
The aim of the project is to provide a platform to participants and the skills to explore their voice and to convey their involvement, ambition and prospective behind their volunteering work into Artwork.
Together we will then co-curate these Artworks into an open-air exhibition, to be held in the summer 2022.
